Re: Reston Corporate Center
Letter of Appreciation

Dear Don:
Recently we were tasked with completing numerous small projects for our Tenant within a limited time frame. After deciding to “fast track” this work, your firm was contacted. Within a matter of days of contacting you, the scope of work was reviewed and construction started.

We are especially pleased with the performance of one particular Smallwood Employee, Mike Brooke. Not only was Mike’s response to our needs timely, he also pitched in on numerous occasions to ensure the work was completed on time. Please extend to Mike our sincere thanks for the job well done.

We appreciate your professional commitment to our Reston facilities."

Re: The Ingleside Building
Life Management Services

Dear Donnie:
I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for the way the above-referenced job was handled by your staff. With the difficulties encountered on the permit and carpet delivery, we still managed to have a fairly happy tenant thanks to Mike Brooke and the other workers. Again, I sincerely appreciate your hard work and concern."

Sincerely,

"Dear Don,
We would like to express our appreciation to your company for a job “well done” at the G.M.U. Law School.

All the projects were completed in a very professional manner and we have heard many compliments, especially towards your employees: Danny Reall, Bill Reall and Dave Hamilton. Their professionalism and can do attitude have brought forth a very positive response towards Smallwood Construction.

Again, thank-you for your company’s response and extra effort on these projects. We look forward towards working with you in the future."

Yours truly,

Re: Relocation / Buildouts

Dear Mr. Smallwood,
I would like to thank you and you firm for the work that was done at 7833 Walker Dr., Greenbelt, MD during the months of April, May and June.

In early April we started four buildouts simultaneously which required the relocation of three of our tenants and our management office to the fourth floor. We successfully relocated the three tenants and the office within the sixty day period between April and June. This could not have been accomplished without the support of everyone at your company. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Donald Garner, Mary Ellen Curtis, and Danny Reall.

All three tenants (and the management office) have settled and all have adjusted to their new environment. We look forward to working with you and your firm in the future."

Sincerely,
Robert L. Baker

Project: NIH Library, Bldg. 10, entryway glass doors, ceiling, lights in ceilings/shelves, storage room, vestibule to Green Terrace, raised floor, hand rails, etc.
Attention: Smallwood Construction Company, Waldorf, MD
Staff on site (there were more):  I would like to thank Mike Brook, Jerry Langley, Mark Mitchell, and Michael Phelps, etc. I regret not having the complete list of names of the contractors out of Smallwood that have been working at the NIH Library these past months. We wanted to tell you how much we appreciate the work accomplished on site. The men continually plowed ahead even when changes were made or communication as to the end product was not clear. Much of the finer details were not designed and the end product depended on your crew’s experience in past jobs. Communication was always easy and open from Smallwood. They were always professional and wanted to help in this tight deadline. Tomorrow, April 21, we plan to have our Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Green Terrace and we will have Wendy Reiger of Channel 4, HHS dignitaries, NIH directors and environmental groups viewing the overall changes to our library. I think we are all proud of what has been accomplished. Keep up the good work Smallwood."
